Tips on how to prepare your child for nursery.

GET SOCIAL

Meeting up with, playing with, sharing toys (maybe even Ted) with children of a similar age. Just being around other children is a great start.

ADVENTURE

Talk about day nursery as a new adventure. Really positive chats. It'll be great fun.

KEEPING IT COOL

Calm and relaxed on the day - before the day, dropping off and picking up.  It'll help your child associate nursery as something to look forward to and not stressful. And of course, being on time as much as you can. Not always possible but being there bang on time for the pick up is also a big reassurance for them.

VISIT US

Come and see us. Just get in touch and let us know. Your Little One will associate nursery as a place where mum or dad are happy too. And they can have a good look around meeting other children knowing you're still there for them during these checking-it-out times.

Fancy a handy copy?

It's a jpeg so...just right-click, 'save image as', and store it wherever is best on your pc... or print it off.  The fridge is always our favourite. Not very original, we know, but...

Foods to avoid giving babies and young children

Child eating cake. Foods to avoid for children.

C'mon. Who doesn't like a slice of cake..?

We're more than happy to tuck right in if you're in a baking mood.

But.

What if that teatime treat is exactly the opposite for your small team members? A treat, that is.

It's one of those subjects we think we know all about,...possibly...probably...

So we thought it would be a good idea to double-check on foods for children on the NHS website, right here, or click the pic. You might just be surprised.
